Vision
Questing
This is the
journey that most Magick workers who link with spirit or the divine will
undertake at sometime in their development. Once on this journey, these visions
can come as part of meditation, waking dreams, or when we are asleep but the
mind is still awake but whilst the body is switched off (to put it simply).
During these
times, you can seek out your spirit guides, seek answers from the divine or the
pantheons you follow, or to follow the quest you are on. The quest usually
represents your development and growth, a bit like walking the path of life and
coming to a fork in the road or crossroads and deciding which path to take. One
will take you on a new level of practise or knowledge, one might take you home,
if you decide to take this and develop no further, or one might be the wrong
pathway. Sometimes, these pathways are decisions you have to make. To illustrate
this, picture coming to a fork in the road. One will take you over the
mountains, which is the quickest path but will take some hard work and effort.
The other will take you round the edge of the mountains, through lush lands and
wonderful beaches and all sort of other pleasant distractions which will detour
from your path and so it will take as twice as long to get to your destination,
if you ever get there at all!
The quest may
make you face fears, challenges, through tests that see if you are ready to go
onto the next phase of your life. It can be confusing, it can be perplexing; it
may take you writing it down and looking at it later to see what the messages
are that you are being given.
In essence,
the dream quest or vision quest as it is also called, is your life, not just the
earthbound but the magickal and spiritual, and the lessons and guidance that is
given by those who are not of this world but are far more wise and understanding
than we can ever imagine.
So there you
go in a nutshell….
Go where
others fear to tread but with angels and guides by your side!
Seek the
knowledge that is out there that others close their eyes to!
Live and
learn and live some more!
And remember,
they are your choices, no-one else's!
